3 – L’IMPÉRATRICE by Dolce & Gabbana is a Floral Aquatic Eau de Toilette designed for women. It was created in 2009 as part of the D&G Anthology collection, inspired by the major arcana of the famous Tarot de Marseille.

In this case, the number 3 is chosen as an example, representing The Empress, aiming to convey strength and femininity through a delightful and delicate creation with character. Its fragrance pyramid begins with notes of pink pepper, kiwi, and rhubarb. In the heart, you’ll find floral notes of jasmine and cyclamen, complemented by the juicy touch of watermelon. Finally, the base notes consist of musk and sandalwood, with a hint of lemon tree.

THE MARSEILLES TAROT. This collection draws its inspiration from the Marseilles Tarot. In this case, arcana 3, The Empress, symbolizes expansion, growth, generosity, beauty, and projects. It is also closely associated with themes related to women, such as fertility, the possibility of pregnancy, or the maternal figure.

The entire collection shares a clean and minimalist aesthetic with rectangular bottles, clean lines, and a simple label displaying the name next to the D&G logo. The only difference lies in the color of the fragrance in each bottle.

The aim was to celebrate the strength of the top models of the moment (and of history) by merging the worlds of fashion and beauty. For this fragrance, the ebony goddess Naomi Campbell was chosen, photographed by the talented Mario Testino.
